Specific Program: Applied Training Course in DBS and VNS Surgery at Rhoton Laboratory, Hosted by the Faculty of Medicine

The Faculty of Medicine hosts an intensive and practical program focused on advanced neuro modulation surgery at the Rhoton Laboratory. Participants have the opportunity to experience DBS and VNS surgical processes with expert trainers through station-based applications.

Program Details

• The program covers DBS surgical workflow using different stereotactic systems and device platforms.
• Participants work with Medtronic, Abbott, and Boston Scientific technologies.
• VNS surgical techniques and dissection training are conducted using LivaNova systems.
• The program includes a free cadaver workspace with Elekta Vantage Frame.
• Station work, from 08:30 to 14:30, includes cadaver dissection, surgical planning, and practical applications, providing participants with a realistic learning environment.

This program aims to provide an intensive and interactive educational experience, transforming theoretical knowledge into practical skills.
