Actuarial Studies Program
The BBA in Actuarial Studies at Queens College is designed to prepare students for a career path in the insurance industry, as well as for a series of actuarial examinations.

The program builds upon core actuarial foundations, teaching students to measure and assess risk in insurance and related businesses. It emphasizes quantitative methods, including probability and statistical models, to perform actuary jobs. Application and Requirements
To declare a BBA Major in Actuarial Studies, students must apply to the BBA program and fulfill the following requirements:
- Complete ECON 101 & 102 and ACCT 101 & 102 before applying
- Submit an application form for entrance to the BBA program
- Obtain a minimum GPA of 2.5 across the 4 courses listed above
Program Requirements
Requirements for Actuarial Studies Majors include:
- Admission to the BBA program, which requires a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the first four courses
- A minimum GPA of 2.0 for courses taken as part of the Actuarial Studies Major at QC
- No individual grade below C- is accepted
- No more than 21 credits can be transferred into the program from other colleges
