The Music Education program at Queens College is designed to prepare students for New York State Initial Teacher Certification in Music Pre-K12. This program, coordinated with the School of Education, provides a solid, structured musical education and a firm foundation in music pedagogy for students preparing to teach in public or private schools.

Degree Requirements

• Earn at least 120 credits
• Earn at least 30 credits in Residence at Queens College
• Earn at least 30 credits in Liberal Arts and Sciences Content Courses
• Earn a minimum GPA of 2.0
