Introduction to College Now
College Now is a free college transition and dual enrollment program designed for New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) high school students. The program aims to enable NYCPS high school students to develop academic momentum toward a college degree, make informed choices about college, and understand how their education can lead to a rewarding career.
History of College Now
The program was initiated in 1984 at Kingsborough Community College with an initial enrollment of 449 students. A significant partnership was formed in 2000 between the City University of New York (CUNY) and NYCPS to expand College Now to all CUNY undergraduate colleges.
