The Italian Language and Culture Institute offers a range of programs for students to learn Italian language and culture.

Program Overview

The institute provides various levels of Italian language courses, from Elementary to Advanced, as well as specialized workshops and cinema classes.

Italian Language Courses

• Elementary Italian Language Courses: These six levels focus on learning basic vocabulary, verbs, and phrases needed to comfortably converse in Italian.
  • Students will learn the fundamentals of the Italian language.
• Intermediate Italian Language Courses: These six levels are designed for students who have completed the Elementary classes or have a basic understanding of Italian.
  • Students will increase their knowledge of grammar, reading, and idiomatic structures.
  • They will also work on pronunciation, adjectives, and pronouns.
• Advanced Italian Language Courses: This course is open to students who have a strong foundation in Italian grammar, vocabulary, and conversation skills.
  • Students will further develop their conversational skills and knowledge of Italian culture.

Specialized Courses

• Italian Cinema: This is a special promotion class that focuses on Italian cinema.
  • Discounts do not apply to this class.
• Italian Language and Culture Workshops: These workshops offer an exciting spin on the traditional curriculum.
  • Students will enhance their conversation skills and knowledge of Italian history and culture through special topics.
  • Discounts do not apply to these workshops.

Placement Test

Students who believe they have a higher level of Italian proficiency can take a 20-minute online placement test.

• The test is available for a $25 fee, which is applicable towards tuition at the time of enrollment.
• Students will receive the test within 2 business days of registration.
