The Practical Nursing Certificate program offers students the opportunity to gain added clinical experiences and exposure to a hospital environment through an extern program. This program includes conferences and seminars that enhance nursing content knowledge.

Externship Opportunities

Bellevue Hospital Externship

Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan provides externship opportunities for nursing school graduates, as do other hospitals in the New York City area.

The Margaret Whitehorne Student Nurse Service Program

This program is a 10-week summer internship that gives students a range of experience in departments ranging from surgery to psychiatric.
