Program Overview
The Portfolio Development and Preparation Program is a carefully constructed program that offers students the opportunity to build a tailored portfolio specific to their post-secondary needs. The program focuses on creating a wide variety of artwork that can be utilized for entry to post-secondary art and design programs in Canada.
Program Structure
The program typically runs for a specified number of weeks, offering a weekly 3-hour session. Students will be instructed by highly qualified individuals who have worked in the industry and have received a minimum of a bachelor's degree in art, fine art, or design.
Topics of Study
The program will deliver the following topics of study:
- The creation and preparation of at least 10 completed body of works
- The required verbal skills needed for a portfolio interview
- A personalized style, theme, or brand
- A walk-through of any Adobe product required for specific requirements
- The ability to create an online portfolio (additional fees apply if student chooses a paid service)
- Critiques held during every program session (giving and receiving constructive criticism)
- Specific art techniques and mediums tailored to the student's post-secondary program of choice
- Clothed life drawing sessions
- Artist Statements and Art Resumes
- Printing and Formatting Aid (portfolio case and printing costs not included)

Program Policies
Students are not guaranteed acceptance of post-secondary programs of study. This program only betters a student's chances of gaining acceptance. The program is subject to the No Refund policy. This program is a pre-paid commitment, ensuring that the student and guardian(s) are serious about post-secondary preparation. If the student must withdraw early due to medical concerns, a legitimate doctor's note must be presented to the director within 5 days of withdrawal. Missed classes cannot be re-scheduled. The program has a limited number of available spots.
