Program Overview
The Development and Preparation of Portfolio program is a carefully designed program that offers students the opportunity to build a specific and tailored portfolio for their post-secondary needs. The program focuses on creating a wide variety of artworks that can be used to apply to post-secondary art and design programs in Canada.
Program Structure
The program is typically developed over a period of several weeks, with a weekly session of 3 hours. The program is led by highly qualified instructors who have industry experience and a minimum of a bachelor's degree in art, fine arts, or design.
Program Content
The program covers the following topics of study:
- Creation and preparation of at least 10 complete works
- Verbal skills required for a portfolio interview
- A personalized style, theme, or brand
- Guidance on any Adobe product according to specific requirements
- Ability to create an online portfolio (additional costs apply if the student chooses a paid service, e.g., Squarespace)
- Critiques conducted during each program session (giving and receiving constructive criticism)
- Specific art techniques and mediums adapted to the post-secondary education program chosen by the student
- Drawing sessions
- Artist statements and curriculums
- Help with printing and formatting (portfolio container and printing costs not included)

Important Notes
Please note that acceptance into post-secondary studies programs is not guaranteed. The program is designed to improve the student's chances of being accepted. The program is subject to the No Refund policy of BICC. This program is a pre-paid commitment to ensure that the student and mentor take the post-secondary preparation seriously. If a student must withdraw from the program due to medical reasons, a written excuse signed by a duly registered doctor must be presented to the school administration within 5 days of the program withdrawal date. Missed classes cannot be rescheduled. The program has a limited number of available spots.
Program Policy
The program has a limited number of spots available, and students are encouraged to apply in advance to reduce the likelihood of not being accepted or being placed on a waiting list.
