CAIQR Program

CSU Bakersfield MSTI Program

The CSU Bakersfield MSTI program is a cohort-based program that provides students with teaching credentials in mathematics and science. The program offers competitive scholarships to students pursuing single subject credentials in mathematics or natural sciences, as well as those seeking to become highly qualified middle school math or science teachers. Key features of the program include:

• Subject Matter Authorization (SMA) in Introductory Mathematics
• Preparation for the CSET in Foundational Mathematics
• A four-year blended foundational science program
• Partnerships with local school districts, including the Kern High School District (KHSD)
