The Health Institutions Management Programme aims to cultivate students into future qualified managers of healthcare institutions. The programme provides students with the required knowledge and skills to describe and improve the health infrastructure of Turkey, applying concepts, theories, principles, models, and techniques to achieve the health system's goals.
Programme Details
The programme offers a modern and global distance education in Health Institutions Management. Students enrolled in the non-thesis programme must pass 10 courses successfully, totaling 90 ECTS credits. Students enrolled in the thesis programme must pass 8 courses, totaling 120 ECTS credits. Courses take place on Taksim Campus, which features a well-stocked library, wireless internet, study and recreation areas, and is conveniently located near underground and bus stations, and the funicular. The programme is offered in Turkish.
Programme Outcomes
Students who complete the programme will have the ability to:
- Conduct research and make analyses regarding matters that health institutions need to put into practice
- Design, carry out, and supervise business processes
- Achieve and raise the required standards to improve corporate quality
- Make required job descriptions and analyses within health institutions to determine the required need for human and material resources, and decide on resource allocations
- Build and ensure the functioning of fiscal, accounting, and budgeting systems
- Determine and implement required marketing strategies
- Understand the scientific status of the relevant discipline and gain a perspective to carry out interdisciplinary academic studies
- Acquire proficiency in the theory and practice to identify problems, put forward arguments, and improve visions on academic and sectoral platforms
