The Computer Technology and Programming program is designed to educate technicians who will work in computer technologies, possessing a balance of theoretical knowledge and practical application skills. The aim of this department is to produce professionals who can assume leadership and management roles in small or medium-sized businesses.

Program Objectives

The program focuses on providing students with a high level of application skills, familiarizing them with contemporary trends in advanced information technologies. Students are expected to gain skills in:

Curriculum and Instruction

Most of the vocational courses in the Department of Computer Technology and Programming are applied, utilizing a laboratory equipped with fast computer systems. Lessons are conducted with the help of projectors and visual materials to enhance student understanding and facilitate quick application development. After lectures, students learn to transfer theoretical knowledge to real-life situations through application and project work.

Practical Experience and Career Opportunities

Students have the opportunity to apply theoretical subjects through internships in the workplace. Successful internship experiences can lead to job opportunities in the same company after graduation. Additionally, students who wish to pursue a 4-year education in computer systems can transfer to related departments, such as Computer Engineering, Mathematics-Computer, Computer Education, or Information Technology, upon successfully passing the Vertical Transfer Exam.

The medium of instruction in the Department of Computer Technology and Programming is Turkish, with optional English preparatory education available.
