The International Relations Department at Istanbul Beykent University offers a Master's program in International Relations, which aims to enhance students' theoretical and practical knowledge in the field. The program is designed to improve research skills, critical thinking, and analytical abilities.
Kurulu
The Master's program in International Relations was established on July 5, 2008, with the permission of the Turkish Higher Education Council (YųK).
Kazanlan Derece
The program offers two degree options:
- Tezli Uluslararas likiler Y³ksek Lisans Derecesi (Master's degree with thesis)
- Tezsiz Uluslararas likiler Y³ksek Lisans Derecesi (Master's degree without thesis)
Derecenin D³zeyi
The degree is at the seventh level (Master's degree).
Kabul ve Kayt Koullar
To be eligible for the Master's program, applicants must:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree
- Have a minimum score of 55 in the Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES) or equivalent scores in international exams such as GRE or GMAT
- Meet the admission requirements set by the Senate

The university recognizes prior learning and allows for credit transfer and exemptions based on the student's previous academic records and the decision of the Department Chair and the Institute Board.
Yeterlilik Koullar ve Kurallar
The program has the following requirements:
- Tezli: 2 years (maximum 6 semesters), 120 ECTS, 8 courses (21 credits, 60 ECTS), and a Master's thesis (60 ECTS)
- Tezsiz: 1.5 years (maximum 3 semesters), 90 ECTS, 10 courses (30 credits, 60 ECTS), and a project

The program also prepares students for careers in public and private sectors, particularly in foreign policy and international relations.

Graduates of the Master's program with a thesis can apply for doctoral programs, while those who graduate without a thesis are not eligible for doctoral programs according to the YųK regulations.
