Industrial Maintenance Program
The Industrial Maintenance program at Lake Land College provides students with a variety of skills in machine shop work, hydraulics, electricity, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance. The courses focus on mechanical skills and hands-on labs, providing education and training needed to gain an entry-level position.
Program Details
The program trains students in:
- Machine shop
- Plumbing
- Electricity
- Concentration on mechanically oriented course work
Industrial Maintenance technicians work at a wide variety of facilities, including manufacturing facilities, factories, food-processing facilities, power plants, and construction sites.
Job Outlook
According to the national Bureau of Labor Statistics, demand for Industrial Maintenance employees is expected to grow 16 percent through 2024.
Hands-On Experience
As a Lake Land College Industrial Maintenance student, you will gain hands-on training and refine your skills in campus labs filled with industry-standard equipment. You will be able to train in the following areas:
- Basic Electrical maintenance and installation procedures
- Heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems
- Pneumatic Controls
- Industrial Pumps and Valves
