Immersion Foundation Program
The Immersion Foundation Program (IFP) is designed to introduce students to the learning styles and academic expectations of elite hospitality education. The program focuses on personalized conversations and hospitality-based practical classes to increase students' confidence to study in their program.
Program Details
The IFP is for:
- Incoming students who have never lived abroad before, or need hospitality experience
- Students who want a chance to experience and live in Switzerland before classes begin
- Students who need to build confidence for communication in relevant study topics
Structure
The program consists of:
- 20 hours per week of classes and study skills, including:
- Swiss Hospitality Touch
- Academic Skills
- English for Hospitality
- Guest Lecture Projects
- 15 hours per week of practical sessions, including:
- Training in F&B service, Spa, and Reception
- Study Hall, including:
- Self-study component with daily tasks to be completed
- Listening Lab
- Skills Development
Fees
The fees cover all of the students' needs during their IFP studies, including:
- Full board (accommodation in a standard double room and meals)
- All tuition and study materials
- Health Insurance
Location
The Immersion Foundation Program is currently held at the Leysin campus of Swiss Hotel Management School.
