The Cutting Essentials program is a micro-credential course designed to equip students with essential cutting techniques and industry-standard expertise. The program is perfect for aspiring stylists or professionals looking to sharpen their skills.


Entry Requirements

  • Students must be over the age of 16.
  • Anyone under 18 is required to have parental permission and a signed consent form.

  • Duration: 1-2 days per week, 20 weeks.
  • Classes: Mondays and Tuesdays from 10am – 5pm.

Master Precision Haircutting

This focused micro-credential covers essential cutting techniques through hands-on training. Students will complete 33 diverse haircuts, including layered, graduated, blunt, and men's styles, while refining precision, texture, and blending skills.

  • SHBHCUT001: Design haircut structures.
  • SHBHCUT002: Create one length or solid haircut structures.
  • SHBHCUT004: Create layered haircut structures.
  • SHBHCUT003: Create graduated haircut structures.
  • SHBHCUT005: Cut hair using over-comb techniques.
  • SHBHCUT006: Create combined haircut structures.
  • SHBHCUT007: Create combined traditional and classic men's haircut structures.
