Program Overview
Program Information
The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program at Medipol University aims to raise academic staff holding a PhD degree in oral and maxillofacial surgery, who are competent in both theoretical and practical fields of this specialty.
Aim
The aim of this program is to educate students who can produce new hypotheses, find literature, and follow advancements in the scientific field, and are capable of working independently and taking responsibility.
Qualification Awarded
The qualification awarded is a Third Cycle (Doctorate Degree).
Registration and Admission Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree Diploma
- Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Exam (ALES) Result
- Certificate of English Proficiency
Graduation Requirements
Students who have successfully completed all of the courses and taken a minimum of 240 ECTS with a seminar, qualifying exam, dissertation proposal, and PhD dissertation have the right to receive a diploma.
Recognition of Prior Learning
PhD students willing to transfer to Medipol University from other institutions may get recognition for their lessons if the contents are equivalent.

Employment Opportunities
Oral and maxillofacial surgeons with a PhD degree may be entitled as academicians. They may work at governmental and private hospitals and clinics but cannot use the specialist title.

May apply to post-doctoral programs.

Full Time.
Assessment and Evaluation
Students are assessed with oral and written examinations. Moreover, practical and point-of-care testing are conducted. Students are given homework and projects.
