General English Program
The General English program is designed for students looking to improve their English skills in all areas, including speaking, listening, reading, writing, vocabulary, and grammar.
Program Structure
- The program consists of various levels, including Elementary, Pre-intermediate, Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate, and Advanced.
- Each level focuses on specific skills and functions, such as basic communication, describing people and places, making small talk, and expressing opinions.
Elementary Level
- Students learn basic communication skills, including greetings, introductions, and asking for personal information.
- They also learn to talk about daily routines, free time, ordering food, traveling, and shopping.
- Grammar topics include present simple, past simple, future simple, present continuous, and present perfect simple.
Pre-intermediate Level
- Students learn to describe themselves and others in more detail, talk about plans and life experiences, and make small talk.
- They also learn to ask for directions, make appointments, and discuss jobs, travel, and culture.
- Grammar topics include present simple and continuous, past simple and continuous, future forms, and present perfect.
Intermediate Level
- Students learn to perform various communicative functions, such as describing food, people, places, and events.
- They also learn to ask for and give information, apply for a job, and review a film.
- Grammar topics include past and present tenses, modals, conditionals, and reported speech.
Upper-Intermediate Level
- Students learn to react and ask for more information, paraphrase, maintain a conversation, and express opinions on various topics.
- They also learn to describe pictures, take notes, debate topics, make presentations, and express annoyance.
- Grammar topics include present perfect simple and continuous, narrative tenses, passives, and future perfect and continuous.
Advanced Level
- Students learn to perform various communicative functions, such as emphasizing personal opinions, describing books and films, and expressing permission, obligation, and necessity.
- They also learn to speculate, show relationships between ideas, persuade, and tell jokes.
- Grammar topics include complex structures, such as conditionals, modals, and relative clauses.
Admission Requirements
- Students must be 16 years old or over at the time of registration.
- Students can start at any level from A1 to C2 in the Common European Framework Reference (CEFR) according to the result of the placement test.
- A Student Visitor Visa may be required, depending on the country of origin.
Course Details
- Course length: 1-44 weeks per year
- Enrolment: Students can join the course at any time of the year and start classes any day, except for weekends and bank holidays.

- Maximum class size: 15
- Days per week: Monday to Friday
- Lesson times: 9:00-12:15 and/or 13:00-16:15
- Hours per week: 15 or 21
