Fashion Design and Illustration
Overview
The Fashion Design and Illustration program is a 2-week intensive course that teaches students the basics of fashion design and illustration. The program is designed to maximize industry knowledge within a minimum time frame.

Course Outline
The program covers various topics, including:
- How to illustrate the form
- Rendering textiles and garments
- Researching target market profiles
- Creating customer profiles
- Technical drawing
- Pulling together a cohesive collection
- Creating a 6–8 piece, 3–4 look mini collection
- Giving a professional presentation
Meet the Professors
Katherine Teel
Katharine Teel is an honors graduate of The Cut's Fashion Design & Creative Arts program. She has a passion for eclectic fashion and personal expression and has been working as a development director for artists and designers in the video game industry.
Hien-Nhi Nguyen
Hien-Nhi (Nee) specializes in crafting menswear and womenswear across casual, outerwear, and athleisure categories. She has worked with various fashion brands, including Eudon Choi and ESCADA, and has experience in sustainable innovation.
Program Details
All courses can be taken in person or online live. The program is not subject to review by the Private Training Institution Regulatory Unit of the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills. Students may not file a claim against the Student Tuition Protection Fund in relation to this program.
