Program Details

2-Week Sewing Intensive Program

The 2-week sewing intensive program is a fast-paced, hands-on training designed for beginners and hobbyists looking to build strong foundational skills in a short amount of time. The program is ideal for beginners wanting to learn to sew quickly, students preparing for a diploma or advanced program, professionals looking to sharpen their skills or build a portfolio, and anyone passionate about learning to make their own clothes.

Program Overview

The program combines practical demonstrations, interactive discussions, and real-time feedback in a small-group format. No prior experience is required. Students will learn everything from threading a machine and stitching seams to reading basic patterns and assembling garments, all under the guidance of industry professionals.

Projects

Students will create a sample book that includes seams, zippers, and bindings. The projects made during the program include a lined tote bag, a sweatshirt, a button-up shirt, and more.

Learning Format

The program is offered in-person at the Vancouver studio or online live via Zoom. Every class is structured, hands-on, and guided by expert instructors.

Support

Students will receive one-on-one guidance from instructors, clear and structured learning outcomes, feedback on every project, access to resources and sewing guides, and a certificate of completion available upon request.

In-Person Learning

In-person learning takes place in a fully equipped fashion studio with access to industrial and domestic sewing machines. Students can either bring their own materials or purchase kits at the studio. Individualized support from instructors is provided in a small-group setting.

Online Live Learning

Online live learning takes place via Zoom. Students will need a basic domestic sewing machine, scissors, measuring tape, fabric, and pins, as well as a quiet workspace and a stable internet connection. Projects are demonstrated step-by-step by instructors, and students can ask questions in real-time and receive feedback.
