The university offers a variety of programs in different fields, including fashion, interior design, and sewing.

Fashion Programs

• Fashion Diplomas: The university offers a Fashion Design & Creative Arts diploma, as well as a Fashion Design Core 4 diploma.
• Fashion Certificate: The Fashion Design & Illustration certificate, Pattern Making & Assembling Technique certificate, Couture Pattern Making certificate, Technical Pattern Making certificate, Gerber Pattern Making & Grading certificate, 3D Apparel Design & Integration certificate, and Basic Costuming for Film & Television certificate are available.
• Fashion Business: The Global Fashion Marketing diploma and Styling & Marketing for Fashion & Lifestyle program are offered.

Interior Design Programs

• Interior Design Certificate: The university offers an Interior Design certificate.
• Core 4 Interior Design Diploma: A Core 4 Interior Design diploma is also available.

Sewing Programs

• Sewing Courses: The university offers a 2-Day Intensive Sewing course, Sewing Level 1, Sewing Level 2, Sewing Level 3, and Industrial Sewing.

Pattern Making Programs

• Pattern Making Fundamentals: A Pattern Making Fundamentals course is available.

2-Week Intensives

• 2-Week Intensive Courses: The university offers 2-Week Intensive courses in Sewing, Basic Pattern Making, 2nd Level Pattern Making, Fashion Design & Illustration, Gerber Digital, and Couture Embellishment.

Applications

• Adobe Illustrator: An Introduction to Adobe Illustrator course is available.
• Artificial Intelligence: An Introduction to Artificial Intelligence course is also offered.

Youth Camps

• Fashion Design & Sewing Camp: A Fashion Design & Sewing camp is available for youth.
• MakeUp & Styling Camp: A MakeUp & Styling camp is also offered.

SketchUp Program

Overview

The SketchUp program is a 2-Week course that runs from Monday to Thursday, 4PM-8PM. The course is limited to 12 students and costs $995.00.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the course, students will learn:

• Basic practical tools using SketchUp software to create 3D models up to scale
• Producing 3D views to be used as part of presentations to clients
• Design development tools to enhance Interior Design projects

Completion Requirements

The Cut Academy uses a grade scale to determine each student's grade through their work. Students must receive a complete or incomplete.

Materials Required

• Software: Trimble for SketchUp, compatible with Windows only

Method of Evaluation

• Practical Assessments: Students will be evaluated on their participation in practical projects during class
• Demonstration: Students may be required to document their work through live demonstrations

Course Outline

The course covers:

• Introduction to the software, environment preparation, line, faces, push/pull
• Group creation, copy, multi-copy, move, reference points
• Rotate, texture application
• Texture creation, scale, 3D gallery
• Group/object modifications, explode, hide, import CAD plans
• Field of view, elevations, export views to CAD
• Scene creation, field of view, walkthrough video
• Profile modes, final presentation

Professors

• Nikki Renshaw: A graduate of Blanche MacDonald's fashion design program, with experience in commission-based work and teaching.
• Hector Alvarez: A seasoned architect with over 18 years of experience, who has also worked in interior design and healthcare facilities management.
