French and Hebrew BA
The French and Hebrew degree programme offers huge scope for developing in-depth, comparative and intercultural approaches to the humanities. Students will be able to choose from a wide range of modules including literature, linguistic traditions, history, sociology, philosophy, art, film or other aspects of the cultures associated with the languages they'll be learning.

Course Overview
French language modules are taken at the UCL School of European Languages, Culture & Society (SELCS), while Hebrew modules are taken within UCL Hebrew & Jewish Studies. In the first, second, and final years, students will take modules in their chosen languages and the literature, culture, history, and linguistics related to them.
What This Course Will Give You
The programme provides an ideal environment for language study, offering a wide range of languages and state-of-the-art facilities. UCL has a very international population, providing numerous opportunities to practise and speak the chosen languages with native speakers and learn about the associated cultures and societies from them.
Teaching and Learning
- Degree studied on a 50/50 ratio between French and Hebrew
- Upon successful completion of 480 credits, students will be awarded a BA (Hons) in French and Hebrew

Year Abroad
The third year is spent abroad, which will not only bring the language and culture to life but also strengthen resourcefulness and self-reliance. Students will normally spend this year studying at a university in their chosen country (or countries if studying two languages), but alternatives, such as work placements, may be possible.
Assessment
Modules are assessed by a mixture of written and oral examinations, essays, and other forms of coursework.
Employability
