Finnish and French BA

The Finnish and French BA program is taught across two departments: the School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES) and the School of European Languages, Culture and Society (SELCS). For entry requirements with other UK qualifications accepted by UCL, the following are considered:

• Access to HE Diploma: Pass with a minimum of 30 credits at Distinction and 15 credits at Merit, all from Level 3 units
• BTEC National Diploma: Not acceptable for entrance to this programme
• Cambridge Pre-U Principal Subjects: D3, D3, M1 in three Cambridge Pre-U Principal Subjects; French D3 required

Course Overview

The program is designed to develop in-depth, comparative, and intercultural approaches to the humanities. Students will take language modules in their chosen languages, as well as cultural modules related to them. The third year is spent abroad, split between two countries where the chosen languages are spoken.
