Program Overview


Introduction to the Endodontics MSc Program

The Endodontics MSc program at University College London (UCL) is designed to provide students with the skills to practice endodontics independently at a tier 2 level, also defined as special interest. This full-time program can be completed over one year or part-time over two years and has a strong clinical bias.


Program Overview

The program consists of five core modules and a research dissertation, totaling 180 credits. Students will attend five days a week throughout the year, except for UCL closure days, if studying full-time. Part-time students will attend five days a week for the first 12 weeks and three days a week after that.

Entry Requirements

All applicants must hold an approved dental qualification and have a minimum of two years' clinical experience. The English language level for this course is Level 3.

Subject-specific knowledge is assessed through an unseen written examination and an oral academic examination. Intellectual, academic, and research skills are assessed through unseen written essays, academic and clinical oral examinations, a presented dissertation, and oral examination. Practical and clinical skills are assessed through continuous assessment of simulated laboratory coursework, simulated practical tests, clinical case-logs, oral examination on an unseen simulated case, and oral examination on submitted case reports.
