About the Degree
This course is ideal for those who want to play a part in improving healthcare by supporting organizations to make better use of information and technology. It is jointly run by the two largest teams in health informatics in the UK, offering insights into the design and implementation of digital systems used in healthcare today. Students will gain skills in software engineering, implementing different systems, supporting change, analyzing, and presenting data.
Teaching and Learning
- The course is delivered through blended learning, combining face-to-face teaching and online learning.
- Each taught module is delivered largely online over eight or nine weeks, with a short block of intensive face-to-face teaching either at UCL or The University of Manchester.
- The online element includes video lectures, podcasts, written material, exercises, and discussions.
- Face-to-face teaching includes lectures, seminars, and experiential learning.
