Description

Collective intelligence refers to methods of organizing thought on a large scale, often utilizing digital networks. Examples include Wikipedia, written by millions of volunteers, and the Oxford English Dictionary, which relied on tens of thousands of volunteers for its content. Today, collective intelligence is applied in various fields such as citizen science, healthcare, and development. This module explores how collective intelligence works and its application in addressing global challenges. It also examines how governments and businesses are using collective intelligence for innovation, citing examples like NASA and LEGO. Furthermore, the module looks at the role of collective intelligence in reinventing democracy, allowing the intelligence of millions of citizens to shape decisions.
