Description
This module enables students to assess how organisations affect social change by using digital technologies (including Artificial Intelligence) and other strategies. A practical and theoretical understanding is facilitated by examining cases of different organisational forms (e.g. human-AI teams, multinationals, NGOs etc) on an array of topics (e.g. human rights, ethical investment, sustainable supply chains) around the world. The module also discusses the latest academic research on the risks and benefits of Artificial Intelligence (AI), corporate social responsibilities (CSR), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and different schools of thought on business ethics. The module teaching is primarily case-based. Students are encouraged to share their understanding of organisation-led social change from across the world.
