Description
Research on nanostructures has revolutionized the fields of optics and photonic devices. This course will focus on unique optical properties of structures with dimensions smaller than the wavelength. From the fundamental principles to the latest advances in photonics research, the course will explore light-matter interactions on the nanometre scale, size effects in small objects and the use of nanostructures in modern photonic devices. The aim of the course is to provide an introduction to the diverse field of nano-photonics.
