Content
This module considers real-life transport or accessibility-related difficulties and the steps necessary to formulate a credible plan to address the problem. The key output of this module will be a consultancy study, developed as a group project, addressing a real-life transport or mobility-related difficulty through the development of a strategy incorporating a range of potential options and a preferred course of action. This will consider analysis and framing of the problem itself, consider the wider vision and imperatives of an area, the generation of credible alternative options to be appraised to provide a preferred option.
Teaching Delivery
The module is delivered through a combination of lectures, project-based tutorials, and site visits related to the consultancy task being addressed.

Module Aims/Objectives
The aims of the module are to (a) provide an understanding of the process of transport strategy development, (b) understand how to develop a vision, objectives, a strategy with key policy measures and projects, and project appraisal, and (c) develop consultancy study development skills, including a level of participation.
Additional Costs
There will be one site visit within London which students will be required to cover the cost of travel for.
