The program consists of four taught modules in social science research methods, taken alongside supervised research. The taught modules are assessed by written assignments of 5,000 words. Assessment
- The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) consists of a piece of supervised research, normally undertaken over a period of three years full-time or five years part-time, assessed by a thesis (up to 100,000 words).
- The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) consists of a piece of supervised research, normally undertaken over a period of three years full-time or five years part-time, assessed by a thesis.
