Four Year Fully Funded Graduate Teaching Fellowships for Management PhD Students

The University of Liverpool Management School is offering four-year fully funded Graduate Teaching Fellowships (GTF) for PhD students in Management. This studentship provides substantial financial support and an opportunity to gain experience as a higher education teacher.

About this Opportunity

The GTF is a studentship for full-time PhD students that provides a fixed number of teaching hours during the PhD program. In the first year, students will complete a short teacher training program and gain a formal higher education teaching qualification. Students will also learn key pedagogical skills for the academic job market through shadowing and mentored classroom involvement.

Who is this For?

This opportunity is for individuals who plan to start a Management PhD in October 2026. Applicants should have a UK master's degree or international equivalent in a business and management discipline, preferably at merit or above. A strong research proposal is also required in areas including:

Funding your PhD

Receiving a GTF provides:

An annual maintenance grant of Ł20,780
Full coverage of PhD program fees
Higher education teacher training and practice GTFs are compatible with external bursaries and other funds for postgraduate research students, but not with other studentships such as those offered by the North West Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership and the China Scholarship Council.
