Program Overview


Overview

The University of Liverpool offers research opportunities in a range of veterinary and allied subject areas through its Institute of Infection, Veterinary, and Ecological Sciences (IVES). These areas include veterinary infectious diseases, veterinary pathology, veterinary clinical sciences, and epidemiology, as well as one health. The opportunities are open to all appropriately qualified candidates and are not restricted to veterinarians.


Introduction

The IVES brings together leading medical, veterinary, and basic science researchers from across the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. The School of Veterinary Sciences offers world-leading research opportunities linked to its working farms and state-of-the-art referral hospitals on the Leahurst Campus and the new veterinary practice located on the main campus in Liverpool. There are opportunities to collaborate with Chester Zoo or engage with global initiatives through partnerships with the Liverpool-Malawi Wellcome Trust facility in Malawi and the International Livestock Research Institute in Kenya.
