Introduction to the Robotics Career Academy

The Robotics Career Academy is a program offered by Diablo Valley College in partnership with Tesla. This academy introduces students to the science and technology involved in robotic systems, covering topics beyond basic science, such as input and output devices, programmable controllers, and programming coding.

Course Information

• EET-107: Introduction to Robotics (Section 2100) is scheduled to take place from July 6-17, 2026.
• The course prepares students for more advanced studies in robotics and related technologies, including those used in building controls systems and industrial applications.
• Students will design and build circuits and kinematic structures that sense and interact with their environment, using simple programming languages and working with a variety of microprocessors, including Arduino, Parallax, VEX, Lego, and others.

Admission and Registration

Application Process

• To apply, students must first create a CCCOpen account and then continue to the DVC application.
• Upon acceptance, students will receive a DVC student ID number and InSite and Canvas username and password via email.

Registration

• Registration for the course takes place through the InSite Portal, starting in May.
• Students must know the course number and section number to enroll.

Special Admissions Recommendation Form

• This form is required for students not graduating in the spring or earlier.
• The form must be signed by the student, parent, and high school counselor.
