Human Resource Management with Law

The University of Bedfordshire offers a BSc (Hons) in Human Resource Management with Law, a course that equips students with the knowledge, skills, and behaviors necessary for a career in human resource management. This course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), providing students with access to Level 5 accreditation and increasing their employability in the HRM profession.

About the Course

This course explores key areas of human resource management, including talent management, leadership and motivation, data management and interpretation, and employee relations. The additional law element ensures that students have a good understanding of areas such as employment contracts and immigration, enabling them to manage people effectively within relevant legal frameworks.

Assessment methods vary and include reports, presentations, time-limited tasks, academic writing, appraisals, projects, and exams. The course emphasizes the demonstration of practical HRM skills, critical thinking, and the application of theoretical knowledge to real-world problems.

Graduates of this course are well-prepared for careers in specialist human resource management roles or professional business and management environments, both nationally and internationally. The additional legal expertise gained through this course can also lead to opportunities in legal assistant roles, training and development, careers advice, mediation, recruitment, management consultancy, and counseling.
