The Public Health MSc course offers a comprehensive understanding of public health issues on a local, national, and global scale. It provides specialized skills for advancing public health and disease prevention worldwide.

About the Course

This course is designed to develop critical research skills, gain insights into global drivers behind health system reform, and build understanding of policy development and implementation across developed and developing nations. Students learn to apply their knowledge through exploring real-life case studies from around the world.

The University has strong links with internal and external development partners, such as Luton Borough Council's Public Health Department and the University of Bedfordshire's Institute for Health Research.

How Will You Be Assessed?

The assessment strategy is designed to assist students in identifying, reflecting on, and meeting their own learning needs in relation to their working environment. Each unit is further designed to develop public health skills in ways that are directly relevant to the workplace.

Careers

There are a range of career opportunities within public health, including public health analyst, public health program manager, and public health specialist. The course can also act as a platform for postgraduate research (MPhil/PhD) study in public health.
