Program Overview


Introduction to the University Program

The University of Roehampton offers a summer program that allows students to live and learn on its beautiful parkland campus in South West London. The program provides an opportunity for students to gain academic credit while exploring London. Students will have access to all the University's support services, as well as a dedicated team to support them throughout their study abroad experience.


Academics

During each three-week session, students will take one intensive module worth 20 UK credits. These modules will cover an equivalent amount of content to a standard semester module and will incorporate field trips to explore areas of London relevant to the studies. The following modules have been confirmed for Summer School 2026:

    • Digital Photography Workshop
    • Magic, Murder and Mystery in London Literature
    • Renaissance to Abstraction: History of Art in London Museums
    • Shakespeare in London
    • The Psychology of Murder
    • London Sports Hub: Coaching, Psychology and Management
    • AI and Data in the Modern World
    • Crime and Corruption in the City
    • Disney and the Globalisation of Childhood
  • Session two (25 June to 18 July)
    • Gods and Heroes in Classical Mythology
    • Introduction to the London Stage
    • The Psychology of Art
    • Travel Journalism
    • Cultural Capital: Reading, Writing and Exploring the City
    • Feeding the City: Migration and Food
    • Sustainable London
    • Filmmaking in London Modules will run subject to minimum enrolments.

Living on Campus

Students will live in a single occupancy room with shared kitchen and social area and bathroom. The University will provide all necessary cooking equipment. Ensuite housing is available at a limited capacity for an additional cost.


Support

The dedicated Roehampton Abroad team will support students from application to departure. Students will have access to all the student support services on campus, including Disabilities and Dyslexia services, wellbeing, and study support.


Social Life

The University offers a series of social events on campus, including free events and an optional excursion programme to help students discover famous sights in and around London. The excursion programme costs 」250.


Application and Requirements

Applications for the International Summer School 2026 are open. Students are expected to have a minimum of 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent. The application process requires basic information about the student, a copy of their current transcript, and a short personal statement.

  • Fees:
    • One session: 」2850
    • Two sessions: 」4900 The package price includes tuition, housing, bedding, kitchen pack, airport pickup, welcome meal, and on-campus social events calendar. If a student withdraws within 1 month prior to arrival, there is a 」250 Administrative Fee due, with exceptional circumstances considered. If a student withdraws after arrival, they are liable to pay full fees.
