Course Overview

IXXN 202: Design for Experience II is a course that focuses on user experience (UX) design techniques. Students will become adept at using industry-standard tools and techniques, including case study analysis, user interface design, rapid visualization, and prototyping.

Course Learning Objectives

  1. Critically analyze emerging methods employed by user experience design experts to address a real-life problem.
  2. Investigate and choose appropriate design approaches for project development.
  3. Integrate and apply user experience design approaches towards solving a real-life problem.
  4. Present user experience with a critical analysis of findings.

Assessment

  • Project 1: Defining the challenges (a visual research report, 500 words, 35% of the final mark)
  • Project 2: Design, test, and refine (45 hours, 40% of the final mark)
  • Project 3: Communicate (28 hours, 25% of the final mark)
