The course INDN 311, also known as Ngā Hua Hei Whakaputanga or Publishable Products, challenges students to explore and engage with specific online publications that inspire them to design a product suitable for publication to an international audience.

About This Course
This course explores the idea that designers need to develop a coherent visual vocabulary when creating objects. It requires a broad perspective on design trends and a detailed understanding of how form and surface combine to create a specific aesthetic statement. Students will design a product related to a specified market segment for release within the next 12 months, involving trend analysis and systematic design experimentation.
