Course Learning Objectives
Students who pass this course will be able to:
- Demonstrate enhanced understanding of te ao Māori to support diverse learners
- Critique theoretical models of inclusive practices
- Critically examine their own cultural contexts, family histories, and identities with regard to values, beliefs, and assumptions about diversity
- Examine pedagogical strategies required for working inclusively with children and families from diverse communities, in relation to their own teaching practice
