The Bachelor of Computing Systems program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of computing concepts, including data communications, networking, IT management, web and software development, business intelligence, and systems analysis and design. The program also emphasizes the development of professional adaptive skills, technical skills, and smart interpersonal skills to prepare students for the working environment.

Annual Tuition Fees

  • Domestic/NZ students: $7,600 (approximate fees only, includes GST but excludes the Compulsory Student Services Fee levy).
  • International students: $26,415 (NZD) (approximate fees for 120 credits), with the option to save up to $2,000 (NZD) with the Unitec International Study Grant 2026.

Admission Requirements

Domestic Students

  • Academic requirements: Completion of at least one of the following - 3 'C' passes in the New Zealand University Bursaries Examinations, successful completion of an approved qualification at Level 3 or above within a computing-related pathway, or NCEA requirements.
  • English entry requirements: University Entrance Literacy or evidence of English language proficiency.

International Students

  • Academic requirements: Country-specific admission requirements.
  • English entry requirements: IELTS (Academic) with minimum band scores of 6.0 or equivalent.
