The Food and Beverage Technician Training Scheme covers how to apply checking and inspection techniques and selecting the correct hand tools for a task while observing health and safety standards in a production plant.
Overview
The Food and Beverage Technician Training Scheme provides an introduction to health and safety legislative requirements and their application in a food and beverage plant, enables students to select and use appropriate hand tools, and introduces mechanical fasteners. Students will learn to apply various checking and inspection techniques to determine machinery conditions.
Programme Highlights
- The course is seven weeks in total.
- Three weeks will be spent with a lecturer at MIT Tech Park and DB Breweries.
- Four weeks will involve online learning.
- Time with the lecturer will be spent in interactive lectures and practical workshops.
Am I eligible?
To be eligible for admission to this Training Scheme, all applicants must:
- Be 16 years of age on the date of the commencement of the programme.
- Provide a completed Early Release Exemption form if under 16.
- Be invited as employees of DB Breweries only.
Start Date
The programme commences on 4 July 2022.
Fee
Fees will be fully covered by DB Breweries.
Duration
This is a 7-week programme commencing on 4 July 2022, with in-classroom teaching from 18 July 5 August 2022.
