NPM 4170 – Elements of Nonprofit Management

This introductory course provides an overview of America's nonprofit sector, including its history, purpose, and theories. The course covers the legal and regulatory environment, ethics and accountability, economics and funding, trends in evaluation and outcome measurement, and general management problems and principles.

Program Structure

• The program can be completed fully online.
• Seven-week online classes allow most students to finish their bachelor's degree in two years.
• Students pay a discounted $630 per credit hour.
• Many students are eligible for financial aid and scholarships, including a 20% discount for many Chicago city and community college graduates.
• Credit for Prior Learning allows students to earn credit for life experiences, training, certification, or licensure.
