The Community Health course is designed to provide an understanding of population-based health as opposed to individual health. Health is more than a personal matter, and people's health is determined by the world they live in and their dynamic relationship with their community.
Course Overview
The goal of the course is to examine Community Health perspectives in light of sociological, historical, educational, environmental, and medical influences. Each health problem is viewed uniquely by the population involved, related to physical, social, and cultural factors within the geographic and political boundary that defines them.
