Introduction to the NYS Liberty Partnership Program
The Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) provides services to meet the academic, social, emotional, and career needs of struggling students by providing meaningful and enjoyable programming. This programming engages students more fully in their education so they can graduate from high school with post-secondary plans.
Program Overview
The Liberty Partnership Program serves students all over New York State. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in Grades 6-12.

- Tutoring and Test Preparation
- Social & Emotional Workshops
- Individualized Counseling
- Recreational Activities
Benefits of the Program
There is a positive relationship between LPP participation and:
- Improved classroom grades
- Improved Regents exam scores
- Improved school attendance Statistics show that:
- 96% of LPP students in grades 5 and 11 advanced to the next grade level
- 94% of LPP High School seniors graduated high school
- 94% of graduating seniors plan to attend college
Eligibility and Participation
The Liberty Partnership Program serves students grades 6-12 from specific school districts, including:
- Freeport (Freeport High School and John W. Dodd Middle School)
- Westbury (Westbury Middle School and Westbury High School)
- Malverne (Howard T Herber Middle School and Malverne Senior High School)
- Hempstead (ABGS Middle School and Hempstead High School)
Program Goals
The ultimate goal of the Liberty Partnership Program is to provide comprehensive pre-collegiate/dropout prevention programs and services to youth in various communities across New York State, including Urban, Rural, and Suburban areas.
