Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the IDEATE Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- For College of Nursing and Public Health students: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner students who have completed NUR 652 (Psychopharmacology) and NUR 680 (Differential Diagnosis and Treatment Planning) with a grade of B or better.
- For School of Social Work students: MSW students in good standing who have completed their generalist-level courses and are beginning their specialized year practicum.
Program Requirements
Fellows are required to:
- Commit to the program for one academic year
- Participate in practicum/clinical rotations at integrated primary care or behavioral healthcare sites
- Be available for placement hours based on agency/preceptor availability and requirements
- Attend interdisciplinary seminars and practice simulations throughout the academic year
- Participate in evaluation assessments, surveys, and focus groups while in the training program and after graduation
- Register for a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number and share this number with the IDEATE team
