The Specialist Nursing Program in Operation Care is a 60-credit program that aims to educate operation nurses who can participate in today's and tomorrow's operation care. Program Description
The program focuses on advanced nursing care for patients in operation care. After completing the program, students will be able to take responsibility for advanced nursing care for patients in operation care. The program includes 14 weeks of clinical placement, with four weeks of field studies during the fall semester and 10 weeks of continuous clinical placement during the spring semester.
Admission Requirements
To be admitted to the program, students must have:
- A degree in nursing (180 credits) or equivalent
- A Swedish license as a nurse issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare
- 90 credits in health sciences, including an independent project (15 credits) at the G2E level, or equivalent
- At least 12 months of full-time work experience as a nurse after obtaining a Swedish nursing license
- Swedish 3 or equivalent
- English 5 or equivalent
