Introduction to the BSc Veterinary Nursing Program

The BSc Veterinary Nursing program, with the UCAS code D313, is designed to train students to be part of the veterinary team. This program focuses on teaching vital skills in caring for animals, including undertaking minor surgeries and procedures, and delivering medical treatments and tests.

The program enables students to develop client-facing skills alongside knowledge of animal care, as they take on the responsibilities of customer care within a surgery, clinic, or hospital setting.

Accreditation

As part of the BSc program, students undertake the FdSc degree and are awarded this to enable them to enter the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and, in the EU, by the Accreditation Committee for Veterinary Nursing Education (ACOVENE). These bodies set the standard for the delivery of veterinary nursing education in the United Kingdom and the European Union.

FdSc or BSc Course
