About this Course

This online course is designed for individuals using or planning to use computed tomography (CT) in their practice. It aims to help participants understand CT technology and its diagnostic utilization in thoracic and abdominal imaging, including CT angiography. The course will equip participants with the knowledge to successfully integrate CT into their small animal veterinary practice, whether onsite or offsite.

A review of practically applicable CT technology used in small animals will lay the foundation for understanding the information displayed on CT images and help optimize image acquisition for practitioners with a CT unit onsite. The course will cover the normal cross-sectional regional anatomy of the thorax and abdomen, and participants will work through cases in light of applicable diseases to strengthen their diagnostic approach when utilizing CT exams or recommending referral of a small animal patient for a CT exam for suspected thoracic and abdominal disease.
