The Bachelor of Science in Computer Graphics Technology degree program at Purdue University Northwest prepares students for industrial careers in the design, development, and management of digital products, services, and applications that utilize computer graphics technology.

With nearly every industry benefiting from the use of computer graphics, graduates can pursue careers in a variety of fields. The program is offered by the Department of Computer Information Technology and Graphics.

Program Educational Objectives
The program has five educational objectives:
- Produce graduates who can recognize how their practice and beliefs influence their values and experiences.
- Produce graduates who can view, interpret, critique, and evaluate situations or problems and develop new insights.
- Produce graduates who can convey information visually, verbally, and in written form that engages and persuades audiences.
- Produce graduates who can identify and use appropriate methodologies to research, analyze, and implement solutions to real-world problems.
- Produce graduates who can understand how to apply computing technology to design, develop, and create digital products, services, and applications.
Learning Outcomes
Graduates of the Computer Graphics Technology program will be able to:
- Apply knowledge, techniques, skills, and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to solve broadly-defined engineering problems.
- Design systems, components, or processes meeting specified needs for broadly-defined engineering problems.
- Apply written, oral, and graphical communication in broadly-defined technical and non-technical environments.
- Conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments and to analyze and interpret the results to improve processes.
- Function effectively as a member as well as a leader on technical teams.

Computer Graphics Technology Major Curriculum
The curriculum includes a balance of general education courses, College of Technology core courses, and computer graphics technology courses. Upon completion of the major core curriculum, students select a series of upper-division courses that advance their skills and knowledge as it relates to a chosen career pathway.

Students are introduced to how digital products, services, and applications that utilize computer graphics technology are designed, developed, and managed. Sample courses include:
