  • Course Description: This course will consider basic concepts of nuclear physics including applications related to nuclear power reactors. A familiarity with basic quantum mechanics, mechanics, electromagnetics, and modern physics is assumed. The course will introduce the physical principles behind modern day nuclear physics.

  1. A basic understanding of the principles of nuclear physics will be gained.
  2. The basic nuclear physics concepts considered will include related Quantum Mechanics aspects and techniques
