Introduction to the Law Dual Degree Program

The Law Dual Degree program is a unique opportunity for students to complete a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree and a Single Honours Law degree (LL.B.) in just six years. This program is offered in partnership with Swansea University in the United Kingdom.

Program Overview

The program allows students to spend their first two years at Trent University, followed by three years at Swansea University, and finally, a sixth year back at Trent University. During their time at Trent, students will complete courses towards their B.A. or B.B.A. degree, while at Swansea, they will focus on their LL.B. degree.

• Year 1: Trent University - courses for B.A. or B.B.A.

• Year 3: Swansea University - law courses for LL.B.

• Year 6: Trent University - courses to complete B.A. or B.B.A. and LAWS courses to prepare for NCA exams

Progression Requirements

To progress successfully to year three of the dual degree at Swansea University, students must:

• Have successfully completed years one and two at Trent University with a minimum cumulative average of 77%
• Have successfully completed no fewer than 10.0 Trent University credits before enrolling in classes at Swansea
• Have declared the program major for the Trent B.A. or B.B.A. degree
• Have confirmation that they have not been found to have breached any disciplinary regulations
• Have obtained and provided proof of an approved Tier 4 (General) Study Visa
• Have no known reasons to be denied access to the United Kingdom
